I have been thinking a lot about the seasons lately. With everyone exclaiming October is their favorite month of the year and fall is their favorite season, it made me wonder...what is my favorite season? That's a hard one, I think I like them all! Here's a brief explanation of why I like each one...
Winter- I love bundling up with scarves, boots, gloves and beanies. I love the holidays and all the Christmas lights and New Years. I do not like however how long it lasts. I would be fine with it lasting through the month of December and then be back to Spring. However winter doesn't even officially start until towards the end of December!
Spring- I love being able to run outside and get the mail without having to put on 10 pounds of clothing to make you warm and snow boots to even get to the mail. I love Easter time and my birthday is in May.
Summer- I use to love this time of the year more as a kid because it meant laying around and doing nothing for 3 months. Now, it means that Luke works more instead of working and going to school, it's hot outside, my electric bill goes up and I feel like I should be walking around naked most of the time. But, I do enjoy the general attitude of people during summer. It's carefree, fun loving, going to Lagoon, living in a swimming pool kind of season.
Fall- Like I mentioned before we were married in October, so I do enjoy this time of year to celebrate our time together. I also like the light layers of fashion, and the Halloween festivities. I guess if I HAD to pick, this would be my favorite time of the year because I can't really think of anything too bad about it, except it's not long enough.
Luke and I have always contemplated moving out of state for him to go to school, and we even seriously considered moving to Portland for a job offer Luke had within his company. It would be hard since this is the only place I know. But, at the same time I would love to experience something different. I did tell him I wouldn't move anywhere with a lot of tornadoes, those have been my biggest fear since I can remember. Otherwise, I'm good!
He asked me if I cared about weather..and I like the changing of the seasons, but I wouldn't mind if it stayed nice all year round. He grew up in San Diego so he is STILL adjusting to the winters. He puts on thermals, his regular clothes, 2 pairs of socks, a heavy hoodie or a coat and a beenie to just sit in the house. No, I'm not kidding.
That's all for now...here's a picture to remind you that this time of year is also the best time of year for some hocho! (courtesy of gilmore girls) So, I had to go and get a cup from 7-11 to fill up every morning with our awesome hot cocoa machine...I have no idea what it's actually called.
HOCHO!!!!
